Myers looks to various ways of sharing her investigation and understanding of dance beyond her crafts as a performer and maker.

She enjoys teaching, choreographing on and coaching students of all ages. Her classes and her creative work with students ranges form classical, to contemporary, to improvisational and compositional.

Myers is also interested in the potential of guided and not-so-guided art and dance improvisation. Her previous leadership of interdisciplinary events, with professionals, beginners, musicians, other artists, and curious guests, offered unexpected surprises and artistic innovation.

Heather believes in the sensitivity, appreciation for other mediums, listening, and community connection that can develop through these kinds of  improvisational events.
